I just found your channel and I'm so grateful. I relate to this so much. Mr Teahan, If we are aliens, we come from the same planet.. a planet with deeply caring aliens that play drums 😆..
I'm stoked to check out all your videos.. thank you in advance 🪐✨ warm wishes, Anna Mae
OMG … never heard of this …thank youuuuu
Definitely more with the spectrum of autism and ADHD! Thank you!!
Love this video! The format was awesome.
Definitely hsp here too! Especially when it comes to animal suffering and cruelty . I think it comes from childhood trauma . I’m very empathic and sometimes it gets overwhelming
My family found me in the cabbage patch. If I wasn’t a spitting image of my mother you’d never know I was part of this family. By the way I have the same plant stand. It’s lovely.
I'm adopted and an extremely sensitive person. I love hard, laugh hard, cry hard, and sleep a lot when I'm down. I'm so sensitive that I have to take medication just to prevent myself from thowing up. I used to get so anxious, that I would be nauseated and would have to go home. It was terrible. It's like I'm not allowed to be happy.
WoW, this is me! Thank you for all this information.
This is me!! HSP & empathic
Thank you so much for this video! It is so enlightening for me! I repressed my childhood trauma for years and I am feeling that open wound and exposure and desperate to find tools to help me cope and thrive in life and be a better parent to my kids. ❤
This is going to be long winded but please, hear me out…
I had a dream that was not quite a dream. I was in someone elses head looking out through her eyes, experiencing everything she was, but I was unable to feel her pain physically. I somehow knew she was protecting me from it. What she was going through was horrific to say the least. She was aware of me and I was aware of being in her mind. I was with her in the last moments of her life, I witnessed her death. I was in it with her right to the end. The moment she died was the moment I woke up in tears. I knew without a doubt I had just witnessed something that had actually happened in my genetic past. I wasn't sure if it was a past life or a genetic memory (or if I was just losing my freaking mind) so I did some research and found out that scientists are researching genetic memory retrieval because a heap of people have reported similar experiences to mine. I have a feeling these people are likely all HSP's, but that is just an assumption. A few other experiences I've had connected with that in a way that has caused me to start believing that those who are highly sensitive feel driven to this multi-generational healing work because that's our purpose… by design. Even if you're not spiritual or religious, surely you can consider that our DNA has an intelligent biological design that would have developed to include an inbuilt survival mechanism. I think HSP's are the ones that clean up as much of the genetic (memory) line as possible through the healing work they are driven to do so… so we don't devolve back into an animal state, I guess? Because trauma devolves if not dealt with/processed. Survival machanism of the higher consciousness or soemthing like that. I don't think it's just our direct line (parent to child) either. Human DNA can cause change in everything around it. It looks to me like healing our trauma can lead to healing generational trauma held within all DNA (6 degrees of separation, we are all linked) and that could be effecting those around us and possibly even those gentically connected to us who arent in our vicinity. Although I truly believe that is what is happening to me and so many others all over the world (15-20% of us in fact lol), it is just a theory.
So very helpful. Now I understand why I was the only one who cried at Bambi.
In my family of three girls, the ultimate insult was to say “You’re too sensitive!” Wow. That really shouldn’t have been an INSULT
I was diagnosed a HSP… at that time I knew nothing about HSP. It all made sense. When I was little I refused to wear new clothes. I begged for hand me downs because to me, new clothes were too scratchy on my skin. I know now, the sensitivity caused that too. It’s your entire nervous system.
I am HSP and was often told I am too sensitive by my family. Totally dismissive and invalidating. Also I am the ONLY member of my family to enter therapy.
autism… it's autism y'all. it's ableist to say otherwise and attempt to distance ourselves from other autistic people. yes, we're highly sensitive… because we're autistic
Can you do a video of how sexual abuse effects the other children . Not just the victim
O my god I did not know what my problem was wow I am in my sixty and he having problems with the women in the family o god I feel sick I didn’t know I thought it was ptsd
Wow that is me I am having trouble with my family because of the trauma I stay out of trouble but I found out that both sister was saying bad things to there daughter’s like I was lying about being assaulted because the guy who assisted me I ran into at my sister chruch when I was 10 a sad day at my sister funeral but she said he is reformed now and I said years ago he did something destroyed my life then my mother threw me away because the second time our home was broken into and I was assaulted she has never ask me about it no one word the other time a family member said I toll on him and to close my mouth he assaulted me so I became the auntie who wanted to keep all the kids safe now to them I do not tell the true but I told them I would gladly take the test anytime but they love the person who did it he has put it out of his mind and said so I think I have to stay away for all of them seeing that guy has shaken me because I have a daughter with adhd and person in my life who need help to
The noise had been turned down for years until I saw this guy at my sister funeral last month and my other sister knew he was at her chruch
Yes I thought I was doing right thank you I was confused about there no being nice I want out
I need to reframe
So that's why I always want to be with my best friend. He and his family can kind of talk about emotional problems and the like while my family is a complete shutdown in that regard.
I love my best friend to no end and he is my real family while my parents are so distant to me. On the very rare occasion that my mother gives me a hug I sometimes still feel weird with her because I learned hugging from my best friend too.
you're asking the real questions !
you've broken down so many aspects of my personality that i didn't even know put me into the category of HSP 😅
Is it there any content about Hsp and family sex abuse? I'd like to know if anyone has studied this childhood experience specially from a sibling…
