    Many groups like to claim the famous as their own.

    I've come to the conclusion that alchemy/numerology etc… and all things associated with the occult and most things esoteric are nothing more than carnival tricks and bullsh!t. In the end, trying to chase down some sort of hidden (occult) philosophical or magical tricks or meanings to life is nothing more than a fools errand.

    Yes, there are people that have been badged with being of high importance throughout history who have practiced various "arts," but there is ZERO correlation to any power or influence they may have gained by their personal rituals.

    Only by their personal habits and dedication to their works and their personal beliefs in "something" were they able to stand out. It just so happened that some of them chose to delve into these mystic sciences.

    My point is, you could create any idol from your imagination, create an entire story around it and give it meaning and purpose. Then bestow your self importance upon it, envoke rituals to it and soon you would start to believe that this self created object has given you the power to overcome and succeed any trial and tribulations that came to you in life.

    It's all still bullsh!t.

    I personally think that just as Jung studied but did not adhere to any religion, so too did he study or get influence from Freemasonry or any secret societies, but I think he did not adhere to them, because I think he got to the individual in his outlook on life.

    ….director Stanley Kubrick has seemed to put many themes of Nietzsche, Jung, along with alchemical traditions and themes. Specifically, The Shining and 2001 had these things in them. These elements made those 2 movies very interesting.
